We are a coalition of minds from around the world, and many of us have chosen to remain anonymous. We are united by a commitment to protecting freedom of thought, mental privacy and Cognitive Autonomy as technology develops.

The People Behind the Purpose
United by What We Stand For
Future technology may make it possible for bad actors to analyze or influence aspects of human thought and behavior. We come together to prepare the rights, safeguards and accountability that human freedom will need as those possibilities develop.
Some of us work in professions closely connected to the technologies and questions at the heart of these future risks. Others bring perspectives from different fields and communities. Together, those experiences give us a distinctive understanding of emerging technology, its potential benefits and the threats its misuse could create.
We share a high purpose: to help ensure that progress expands human possibility while protecting the freedom to think, choose and live with dignity. That purpose asks for dedication, careful work and a willingness to serve something larger than ourselves.
A Shared Commitment
Purpose Beyond Recognition
Our measure of success is the protection we help build for everyone. The mission comes before ego, and meaningful contribution comes before personal recognition.
Many perspectives can strengthen one shared purpose. We bring our knowledge and dedication together to help protect the future of Cognitive Freedom.
How We Come Together
The Mission Comes First
Why Many of Us Remain Anonymous
Many of us choose to remain anonymous. For some members, anonymity helps keep their professional lives separate from their Coalition work. For others who make that choice, it reflects a conviction that attention should remain on the risks we must address and the protections we must build, rather than on personal profiles or achievements.
Other members choose to participate openly. We respect both choices. Our shared commitment is to let the contribution speak, giving the ideas, evidence and public purpose of the work more weight than the recognition attached to a name.
Hundreds Today, Thousands Ahead
Our coalition already numbers in the hundreds. We aspire to grow into the thousands, bringing more people, disciplines and perspectives into the work of protecting Cognitive Freedom.
What connects us is dedication to the mission. Each person can strengthen a collective effort that reaches beyond any one career, institution or individual achievement.
Help Shape the Future
There Is a Place for Your Contribution
We are actively seeking neuroscientists, legal scholars, neuroethicists and others who want to help advance Cognitive Liberty. Engineers, policy specialists, educators, researchers and people committed to the mission can all bring valuable perspectives.
Whether you hope to join as a member or contribute as a researcher, we welcome a commitment to rigorous thinking, human dignity and practical protections. Help us prepare a future in which the benefits of neurotechnology can flourish alongside freedom of thought and informed consent.
