Cognitive Freedom Coalition Announces NFII, Plans Q4 Launch and Worldwide Research Outreach
The Neuro Frequency Investigation Initiative is being finalized for a fourth-quarter 2026 launch, with plans to approach universities worldwide and connect with thousands of researchers.
October 9, 2026
Cognitive Freedom Coalition announces the creation of the Neuro Frequency Investigation Initiative (NFII), a research initiative being finalized for launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Coalition plans an international outreach effort to universities and research institutions, with the aim of connecting with thousands of researchers around the world.
NFII will seek independent scientific investigation of reports of non-consensual electromagnetic exposure and associated experiences. Its purpose is to establish what the evidence supports, improve the quality of information available to investigators, and advance protections for mental privacy, Cognitive Autonomy, informed consent and human dignity.
A Worldwide Invitation to Independent Research
The planned outreach will introduce NFII to university departments, laboratories and individual researchers whose expertise can inform careful investigation. The Coalition intends to connect relevant scientific and engineering disciplines around focused questions, suitable evidence and responsible participation.
The outreach will invite institutions to consider participation according to their own scientific priorities and review processes.
Two Complementary Research Paths
The NFII framework describes two complementary approaches. Track A examines the electromagnetic environment around a reported event. Track B examines brain and body responses associated with reported experiences. Where appropriate, investigators can compare these records while accounting for timing, ordinary variation, measurement uncertainty and recording artifacts.
Participant accounts provide questions and context for investigation. Findings must follow from the resulting evidence, including negative or inconclusive results. Consent, privacy and responsible handling of personal information are central to the proposed work.
Preparing for the Q4 Launch
The Coalition is finalizing the initiative's materials and participation pathways for the October through December 2026 launch window. An exact launch day has not been announced. The NFII website is already available, allowing researchers, prospective participants and journalists to review the initiative while preparations continue.
NFII forms part of the Coalition's broader effort to prepare evidence standards, rights and safeguards as technology develops. That work supports beneficial scientific progress while examining how people can be protected from misuse. Universities and researchers interested in the planned initiative may review the researcher brief and contact the Coalition for further information.
